It’s hard sometimes to figure out if I’m procrastinating on something, but today was a lot of process improvement and preparation for the future. Spent a chunk of time wrapping my head around Docker and ECR. I’m creating Discord bots in order to test the majority of the codebase for an Alexa skill with a broader audience, and I’ve almost finished putting together a workflow that creates Docker images in ECR for each bot.

Given that Discord bots have a raft of dependencies, I don’t feel too bad about the potential over-complication there, especially as it means I can wrap up AWS credentials inside the Docker image.

Tomorrow is launch day for the new Tavern of Voices site promoting skills under development. I’m very excited for the future here!
