It’s hard sometimes to figure out if I’m procrastinating on something, but today was a lot of process improvement and preparation for the future. Spent a chunk of time wrapping my head around Docker and ECR. I’m creating Discord bots in order to test the majority of the codebase for an Alexa skill with a broader audience, and I’ve almost finished putting together a workflow that creates Docker images in ECR for each bot.

Refocusing
Started the work of rejigging my email inbox yesterday, to better suit my focus going forward. It’s a LOT, but it feels better already to move to a goal of everything automated coming in going to a label, and staying out of the inbox. It should mean that ‘processing’ email going forward is much more meaningful.

Wrapping Up Monetisation
So last week’s investigation was focusing on monetisation - looking at the viability of making money from Alexa skills as well as ideally identifying successful monetisation models to adopt. I’d intended on looking at and adopting successful models from the broader gaming industry, and things didn’t quite work out that way. But it’s all good news!
